MY CAREER BEGAN AS AN INTERN ASSISTANT ENGINEER AT BISCOITO FINO STUDIOS IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL IN 2005 UNDER THE MENTORSHIP OF THE GRAMMY-AWARD WINNING ENGINEER RODRIGO DE CASTRO LOPES. IN THAT SHORT PERIOD OF TIME I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WITNESS AND HELP IN THE RECORDING OF ARTISTS SUCH AS CHICO, BUARQUE, FRANCIS HIME, MARIA BETHANIA AMONG OTHERS.

AFTER THAT, I WAS OFFERED A POSITION AS ASSISTANT ENGINEER AT TENDA DA RAPOSA STUDIOS WHERE I CAME UP UNDER THE ENGINEER AND STUDIO OWNER CARLOS FUCHS. IT WAS NOT LONG UNTIL I WAS STARTED TO ENGINEER SMALL SESSIONS WHILE ALSO ASSISTING IN THE BIGGER ONES. THAT GAVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN THROUGH OBSERVATION AND PUT THOSE IDEAS IN PRACTICE IN MY OWN WORK. THIS EVENTUALLY LED ME TO BECOME A FULL TIME ENGINEER IN 2006 AND WORK WITH ALL MAJOR INDEPENDENT LABELS AND SOME OF THE WORLD-CLASS MUSICIANS THAT BRAZIL IS FAMOUS FOR SUCH AS AZYMUTH, SEU JORGE, JOYCE, ARTHUR VEROCAI, WAGNER TISO, ROBERTINHO SILVA, NEY MATOGROSSO, NELSON SARGENTO E OLIVIA BYGTON.

IN 2010 I WAS OFFERED A PLACE TO STUDY A MA IN AUDIO PRODUCTION IN LONDON AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTMINSTER. THERE I STUDIED UNDER KEVIN PAUL (DEPECHE MODE, GOLDFRAPP, MUTE RECORDS) AND ALAN FISHER (BJORK, 808 STATE).

IN THIS COURSE I ALSO LEARNED TO WORK TO FILM AND VISUALS WHICH KICKSTARTED A MAJOR TURNING POINT IN MY CAREER SINCE I WAS AIMING TO COMBINE MUSIC/SOUND DESIGN AND VISUAL ARTS. IN THE YEARS SINCE I GOT TO WORK IN VARIOUS ART PROJECTS IN MAJOR INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS STEDELIJK MUSEUM (AMSTERDAM), SPACE STUDIOS (LONDON), ARKEN KUSEUM (DENMARK) AMONG OTHERS. PROJECTS RANGED FROM VIDEO TO PERFORMANCE BOTH AS A COMPOSER/ SOUND DESIGNER AND MIXING ENGINEER. MY WORK WITH MUSIC CONTINUED BOTH AS AN ENGINEER FOR THE OCCASIONAL RECORD PRODUCTION AS WELL AS COMPOSING FOR THEATER.

SINCE 2019 I HAVE RETURNED FULL TIME TO MY ORIGINAL PASSION: MIXING RECORDS.
